Who doesn't like free? Here are a few free genealogy events to keep in mind.
September 5 - Utah Genealogical Association Summit of Excellence - the first day (5th) is free - mostly for beginning genealogists. There are additional pay sessions on September 6th and 7th. Virtual event. More details at https://ugagenealogy.org/cpage.php?pt=586
September 10 - 13 - Willard Library Genealogy Quest - This is a wonderful free event (similar to Midnight Madness) offered in Evansville, Indiana. There is something for everyone including an entire day on German genealogy. Check it out at https://www.willardlib.org/genealogy-quest
Don't forget about the Illinois State Genealogical Society conference on October 26 in Joliet. The theme is "Boats, Trains, and Autos: All Roads Lead to Illinois." https://ilgensoc.org/cpage.php?pt=620
Also the National Genealogical Society conference which will be held May 23 - 26 in Louisville, Kentucky! Not too soon to begin making plans to attend that one.
I will occasionally try to update this blog with events of interest but one great way to keep up is to check the Genealogy Conference Keeper website or even subscribe to their weekly free e-mail system. https://conferencekeeper.org/
